PROJECTS & COLLECTIONS
"PROJECT BREAD"
This project was something I created for my final in my Photography class. I had a hard time at first trying to figure out what I wanted to do, because the only instruction we were given was to send a message via. 10 photos.
Once I decided to make this collection, I had a REALLY hard time following through with all of my ideas. This project required a lot of reliance on friends and the help of photoshop, of which I am pretty amateur at. Thankfully though, this wasn't about perfecting the photos so much as it was about conveying the message. (The photos are in a purposeful order.)
"PROJECT ME"
This was something I worked on in my photography class, where the assignment was to show a side of you that not most people see.
This was the first time I photographed myself in a vulnerable state, and tried to visually express a part of me that I found hard to express verbally. The past few years of my life have been largely defined by my battle with an eating disorder, characterized by the intense scrutiny of my body. I am very happy to say that I am in a much better place in accepting and loving my body for what it is, but it's important that I acknowledge that it wasn't easy getting to this place. Making this project actually played a very important role in my recovery -- it forced me to see my disorder in a more objective light.
"PROJECT PURPLE"
"Project M5"
Nothing much to explain here, I just really like the M5 effect on VSCO
